Our first Collie “Nino von der Asseburg” moved in with us in 1992. Back then we still lived in a big apartment with a small garden. In 1994 we finally moved into our own house with a nice 2000sqm yard. Since we weren't at home most of the day we decided to get Nino some company and so “Orijana von der Asseburg” joined our family the same year. During that time noone of us was even thinking about starting breeding Collies one day, since our boys and their education and hobbies took up all our time and resources. But now after living with Collies for quite a few years and having successfully brought up both of our boys, we decided to breed these fascinating dogs. Unfortunately our first Collies Nino (April 20th, 2005) and Orijana (September 2007) have passed away.
So in May 2005 our lovely “Varet vom Hause Reinhard” join the family. With him we also gained our first show experiences. About a year later during a vacation in the United States we got the chance to get to know American Collies. We were so fascinated by the appearance and nature of those "different" Collies that we decided to import an American Collie to Germany. Finally, in January 2007 our new Collie bitch "TwinAcresDarkSunshine" (we just call her Lena) was born and in March 2007 we could finally take her to Germany. With Lena we now want to start breeding, according to American standards.
